Bears!
Helloo world! Valentine's Day is over, and I'm glad to announce that I've managed to complete my present for Wei only two days late! Hoho.
Okay I was supposed to give it on Valentine's Day but I couldn't finish it on time, despite sewing late into the night. But anyway, I still have to thank Jun Feng for being so patient and bearing (haha!) with me, teaching me the fine art of bear-making into the wee hours of the morning. YiLing too, for well, being a fellow last-minuter and thus suffering the same consequences as me, and Andrew for lending his room for us to cross stitch and sew in, well into the night.
Lesson learnt: Start sewing projects early!
Alrighty pictures of my very first hand-made bear coming rightup!
The hand-made bear and the cuddly and extremely huggable Valentine Bear sitting together on my bed! By the way, I love my new bedsheets! Pretty pretty!(:
The bear up close. I still think the limbs are a wee bit too long and the bead a tad too small. Hmm.
All together now, with the lovely, pretty box holding my valentine's day presents from Wei.The flowers are absent from the picture, though! Ah wells.
Valentine's day. Valentine's day was spent indulging. We went looking for our favourite foods, and had hokkien mee at Food Republic in Suntec for lunch, and assorted pastries from SwissBake and Delifrance for dinner. The rest of the time was spent at two of our favourite places, Gloria Jean's and East Coast Park, holed up and reclaiming abit of us-time. It was altogether a quiet affair, cosy and dreamy.
I like.(:
