At Kailing's and B2's recommendation, I went to try out a Cleo quiz here, and there was this question:

You've come down with a cold from hell and your boy...
(a) Tells you to call him when you’re done coughing up a lung.
(b) Takes you to the doctor, cooks you chicken soup, and nurses you back to health.
(c) Drops off some supplies then hightails it outta there.

Which brings me back to a time nearly 3 years ago when we were still studying for the As and Wei secretly ran over from Siglap, Chloropheniramine and Panadol Remedy in hand.

Ah, happy, happy memories.(:

Sempre e per sempre(:

I'm now waiting for B2's call to discuss our attendance at tmr's cheerleading preview, so I thought I'll post some long over-due photos.

2nd Anniversary Dinner
Wei and I had our 2nd anniversary dinner after my exams, on the 26th of November. We went to Otto Ristorante, a cozy little place situated in Red Dot Traffic Building. The service was good, the staff really there friendly.(: Oh and the food - AWESOME.

First up - slow cook egg and taleggio fondue. (There was actually another appetizer before this, but sadly no pictures. Heh.) Okay the fondue. Oh gosh the fondue. It was rich and creamy and absolute yum. Ah, my kind of food.(:

Oh and you see the brown flakes on top of the egg? Those are truffles. Delish, but freakingly expensive. We only had a total of about 5grams? of truffle shavings throughout the meal.

Next was supposed to be our pasta and risotto, but the chef is such an adorable sweetheart (he's rather short and round, haha), and he gave us complementary freshwater oysters and scallops that simply Melt. In. Your. Mouth. I'm soo not kidding. They're really the BEST scallops I've ever eaten. Oh YUMSTERS. Unfortunately, we only took photos of the oyster. Here you go.

Then came the pasta and risotto. The pasta was really flat and thin, it was like asian fusion. They both had creamy sauce too. Wei commented that the night's dishes seemingly revolve around cream, but that's because he knows of my love for rich food.(:

After that was real good cod fish with, as usual, creamy, awesome, fantabulous sauce. Seriously to die for.

Before dessert, Paulo the maître d' showed us the truffles up close and personal. Apparently truffles have genders. The ones that are closed up like a knob are females, and the ones that are open are males.

And that was close to about a thousand (over a thousand?) dollars sitting on our table. Ha.

Dessert, and theme of the evening.

And of course, creme brulee.(:

Vanilla beans at the bottom! Happy sight, happy sight. Haha! *beams*

Champagne and dessert wine.

Interior of Otto. Nice ambiance.

And that concludes our dinner.(:

L'amore magico sempre e per sempre, my love. Aye, forever and ever <3

I'm back from Kimchi Land, folks!

So I got back from Korea late Wednesday night. It was quite a hell of a trip, though I was a lil miffed that it wasn't cold enough to snow. It only rained.): Anyway, I suppose I'll be massively adding photos of the anniversary dinner with Wei, some photos from the trip to Korea, my birthday flowers (Rae's HUGE-ass one that totally trumped Wei's and left him dumbfounded, haha. I love you babies!!:D), and my birthday lunch with Wei tomorrow. We're going to this apparently fantabulous Jap place. Woots!(:

Oh and I would like to thank everyone who wished me happy birthday.(: I'm really sorry I didn't manage to say thank you to everyone on my birthday, cos I left my phone in good ol' Singapore, and I didn't have internet connection in Korea. You have all been really, really sweet and I absolutely love all of you to bits. TO BITS!!(:(:(:

Oh and last night was a blast, oh my dear god. On hindsight, I suppose I might have appeared to be quite an... avid eater, seeing how I was the only female among the 4 other males present. But holy guacamole was it fun. I never had a table assembled with food, and have Andrew take a picture of the table before sitting down and proceeding to clean up the plates within what? 2 hours? Haha. Geez man. Maybe Andrew will upload the before and after shots. We had the uncles and aunties so amazed I was surprised they didn't loose their footing and fall over Wilfred while trying to take a closer look, and land face down in the bowl of beef noodles.

Alrights, time for work. Catch y'all later. Bye!(:

To Wei, with ♥

Thank you for being here with me, sweetheart. These 24 months have been a blast, and it just wouldn't be the same without you, standing steadfastly by my side, holding my hand and holding me close, guiding me and looking out for me every step of the way. I really hope that I've given you as much joy as you have given me, my dear, for this love - it is simply incredible and it anchors me in a way I can never possibly imagine. I know this is all getting a tad old, but yer know, sometimes 3 words just don't cut it - they ain't enough. So well that's me, saying Happy 24th, Sweetheart, and I'm so glad to have you, Bestfriend.(:

P/S: I hope you had a great 80minutes today.(: When we're richer we'll do this more often, yes? Haha. Can't wait for the dinner on the 26th! *beams*(:

Coffee ♥

It almost felt like one of those pre-uni and pre-ns days yesterday, when there was no work, no deployments, no bitchy bosses, no projects and assignments and tests to lose sleep over. Leisurely days. Cosy days. Lazy, laaaaaazy days spent at one of our favourite hang-out places by the sea. I sure am looking forward to such days again after exams. C:

Haha! The boy's funny like that. He's adorable. <3

*

I'm determined to be productive today. I will start on my final Communication Management individual presentation and revise data analysis for Research Methods. I will start immediately, since its already almost 2pm now and I have work at 7pm.

Maybe I should really start thinking about sleeping early too. Hm.

To Rae:

Have I ever told you that I fell hopelessly in love with you from the moment you shared your food with everyone else before you ate? (and thereafter I swore that I would love you forever and ever to the end my life, haha.)

I know it would be too far-fetched and altogether unrealistic of me to tell you don't be too disappointed or heartbroken or cynical or jaded, love, because well, life's like that. But just know that you'll always be our big-hearted Rae no matter what - mine, Kenn's, Wei's, Farand's, Jon's, Cass's, BE's, Ah Fat's, and the so many other people whose lives you touched, 'cos its simply you.

So be brave, Rachel dear.(:

P/S: Our AB213 tutor took ah fat to be a smoker today. You should have seen the look on ah fat's face, haha damn funny.

Yesterday afternoon, on all accounts, was a bad afternoon. I possibly gave the worse presentation ever in my entire life, and I had a hard time trying to differentiate my french tenses. On top of that, my feet were aching, because they were stuck in a pair of killer heels the whole day. I swear I'm never ever going to wear those pair of heels again, unless (a) I brought along a change of shoes, or (b) if I'm driving.

Yesterday evening, however, was a totally different story.

First up, dinner at Sourpuss. Yay I like. (:

Wei's camera shy. Haha! He's adorable :D

The amazing Masala Fish and Chips.

Yumsters. And oh. It just got better.

See!

Guess where? Max Brenner's! This is Wei's yummy chocolate + shot of expresso + Irish Cream. Amazing I tell you. You can actually feel the rush vrooom down your throat. Mmmmmm. Oh and we met Jean there too! (:

Souffle! Love the little chocolate balls.

And this.

Thick, warm dark chocolate.

Ah, 'tis happiness in a cup. (: Yay for HugMugs! (:

I know the resolution of the photos is horrid, but I tried my best! I think I should start bringing along my digicam, instead of using my camera phone though. Hee!

Anyway, this basically sums up my whole Friday.

Happy 23rd, my babylove! I'm ever so glad to have you. (:

Shoes!(:

I've finally bought the pair of office wear aka f-me heels I've been eyeing for quite some time yesterday! And in the process, I acquired for myself yet another pair of heels, courtesy of Wei.(: To top it all up, I thoroughly enjoyed the short-but-great us-time spent together. I swear, a girl can't get any happier than this. *beams* (:(:

On a side note, I am currently shedding like a cobra. So now besides having an uber uber ugly tan line(s), I not only have uglyuglyugly shoulders that makes me appear disease-ridden, but also itchy-like-hell shoulders, prompting constant scratching throughout 2 hour lectures.

Ain't no love like ice cream and daisies

Happy belated belated belated 20th, sweetheart! Thank you for standing by me all this while, love. You're my rainbow skies, the sunlight through my window, my Shin duck soba. I love you, and God only knows what I'll be without you.(:

On a side note, I received my first pay at Ice Cream Chefs yesterday! *beams*

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists:
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Shin Kushiya!(:

Dinner at SHIN KUSHIYA was absolutely, absolutely fabulous. I know Rae raved about it in her blog already, but I've got to rave about it still! I love the Horenso salad (spinach with bacon and garlic chips tossed with soy dressing), and how the Osen Tamago (lightly-poached egg served chilled in a bonito broth) was so good chilled. The sashimi was so super fresh; apparently the prawns were so good they made Farand's eyes disappear in appreciation, haha! Their yakimono was excellent too, but that's what they specialize in. I love love love the mushrooms. I don't know how they do it, but the mushrooms were still fat and juicy and tender even though they were charcoal- grilled. Just absolutely makes me feel like bouncing around. The mozzarella cheese wrapped in bacon was super super amazing too! Ahhh!!! And oh, ohmygod, behold the Tonsei Inaniwa Udon, aka Duck Soba. The duck broth was ex-ce-llent and -get this- the flat noodles just slides down your throat. And its chilled. Chilled!! Ughh. *spasms and dies*

Anyway I hoped Rae you enjoyed it, cos I certainly did. Haha!(: I'm gonna miss you badly when you go to the US. Oh wells. I'll just have to survive a whole sem without you and then I'll have you back!!:D And we'll go eat at Shin again!!:D:D:D

Okay no more of this. I'm hungry.

Short + Sweet.(:

I had the BEST time yesterday.(: It has been such a long time since I've actually dressed up for a date, haha. Dinner at SourPuss was great. They had food and service down to pat, and the ambiance was just simply lovely. If it wasn't for the play, I really wouldn't mind sitting there, relaxing and just enjoying Wei's company.(:

Ah, the play. Awesome stuff, the play. It was simply so delightful, the storylines and the acting, that I think I was smiling throughout the 2 hours. The balloons, the balloons! Haha! What a nice way to end the gala finals. Thanks for the tickets, John! You've got to buy extra tickets next year again, yes?(:

I'm a happy happy girl.(:

I'm getting so happy typing this and remembering yesterday that I feel like giving my sweetheart a big hug now. Haroww Weiwei! *Huggggggs*:D

Stars over Texas.

It has lovely walls and lovely chairs and lovely tables and lovely, cheerful daisies in their lovely little vases. It has also lovely food served on lovely plates, all presented lovelily. It also has lovely service, the loveliest of all lovelies.

Cafe Oliv, it seems, officially has my heart.

Next time, I want a table with a pretty yellow daisy.

**

I miss vj. I miss walking through the park connector in the afternoon after school and seeing fellow victorians. I miss the fuzzy feeling I get when I walk home in the evening and meet fellow victorians cycling or blading back to school. I miss feeling the warm glow inside me when I stay back in vj late at night to study, and I see every other tutorial room with its lights and air conditioning on. I miss seeing random victorians, comfortable in pe shirts, fbts and slippers and snug in jackets, occupying classrooms to study or just chill out. I miss sitting in the treehouse with S43, playing cards and talking. I even miss having to share a classroom with random people, because its the exam period and everyone is studying in school and camping overnight and there are just no more other vacant rooms.
**

I've always loved walking hand in hand with you in the moonlight, the night breeze in our hair and the quiet path stretching out endlessly in front of us. Its almost as if there is nothing else in the world. Nothing and no one else in the world but us, us and the flowers and trees and pretty houses, and violins and the smell of the sea.

Today, I had a perfect date.(:

Officially 19.(:

So, amidst all cheerleading and bridge practices and all the preparation for IH, my birthday's came and gone and now it will be Christmas in two day's time. Time is really passing by fast, especially this December. Exam results will be released on the day of bridge competition, and then school will resume and with it, intensive cheerleading pracs.

Anyway, my birthday! I had a wonderful, amazing birthday, but then, everything is wonderful and amazing when spent with Wei.(:(: Its all Wei Magic. Haha!:D

Okay first and foremost, Wei got us a room at the Pan Pacific. The room was beautiful, but sadly we forgot to bring out cameras, so we couldn't take a picture of it. That will explain the lack of photos this time, but I'm trying my best to put up what I can. Serious! Here's the chocolates I managed to keep as a memento. (Please excuse the two empty spaces. I couldn't resist. Hee!)

We settled in and ate some of the little adorable cheesecakes Wei got for me (they had a sweet little strawberry heart covered by a layer of jelly) before going for our movie.

Yepps Gold Class tickets to watch the Golden Compass! Yay! Haha. The whole experience was amazing. The seats (recliners, more like) were comfy, complete with adjustable leg rests. Blankets were provided too, and there were only about 30 people in the cinema. Between every two seats there's a table to hold the plates of food or glasses of wine you can order at the Gold Class Lounge before the movie. Now how cool is that!

Oh and I thought that The Golden Compass was quite good! I don't understand why so many people butchered the movie, and if there's any anti-Christ connotations or symbolism in the movie, I've certainly missed it. Perhaps I'm just enthralled by the idea of a person's character being reflected in an animal, and the fantasy of it all. But then again, maybe its because its Gold Class, and everything's nice in Gold Class, haha.

Then it was dinner at Shin Kushiya at Suntec. One thing I must say, the duck soba was really really fabulous. It just slides down your throat and it was so good, so good, especially if you're having a bad throat. Okay I'm getting little shivers of delight up and down my arms just thinking about it. Hee!

Okay now for my presents!

Wei got me something like that last year too, but the necklace this year's more expensive and the compiled CD has got more beautiful songs. Thank you, love!(:(: Oh and thank you John for helping out!(:(:

It was back to Pan Pac after that and guess what happened the next day at 10am! Room service! Yay!! Haha! The trolley (is it a trolley?) was beautifully set up, and the food was pretty awesome. My eggs benedict were good and Wei's baked scrambled eggs with bacon and salmon was just simply love. Oh YUM YUM YUM. It was all lovely and great and beautifully and painstakingly planned. And needless to say, I think this birthday beats all the others hands down, except perhaps my 18th birthday. But then that's a different thing altogether.

Thank you for everything, Wei. You're the best. Oh and a happy belated 13th month! *huggs* I love you so, sweetheart.(:

One-Ninety.(:

At last! The promised photos from the anniversary dinner.(:

Wei and I.

And again.(:

One-Ninety, the restaurant in Four Seasons Hotel. The place was really cosy and absolutely charming.

The menu. See, its customized and personalized! *beams* And yepps it was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you love, for the huge amount of thought and effort put into this dinner!(:

Appetizers! I can't believe this is actually mushroom. It was so good so good. The dip was wonderful too!

The sharp tang of the Bleu cheese was muted by the slightly salty Risotto Balls.

Now for the main course! My seared cod fish proved to be very refreshing. However the key that made this dish so delightful was the vegetables and the soy vinaigrette. I have never tasted such delicious vegetables before. The soy vinaigrette went very, extremely well with them.

Wei's pork chop. Or rather, what was left of the pork chop, haha! We forgot to take pictures of the main course before we ate. What a waste.): Not too bad, though I still prefer my cod fish.(:(:

Dessert!

Warm chocolate cake. Nothing too special, but chocolate cake and lots of warm chocolate is always such a delight. Mmmmm.(:

Omg, but this cheesecake ice cream and the frozen strawberries in it is to die for.

My favourite! Creme Brulee! Haha.(: They actually don't have creme brulee on their dinner menu, but Wei persuaded them to save some for me from their lunch buffet, because he knows I love creme brulee.(:(:(:(:

The people at One-Ninety were very sweet, and they gave us this complimentary chocolate cake, which turned out to be amazing too. I love the cake's biscuit base. Oh YUM.

Now that dinner's done, its time for presents.

A scrapbook of pictures tracking our journey. Pictures of our favourite hangouts, places that mean so much to us. Places where we laughed, chilled and just purely enjoyed each other's company. Places of love and comfort.

It was an evening filled with warmth. A perfect date, a dream date. Happiness and bliss. 'Thank you's seem inadequate in the face of so much energy and time put in to pull off such a magical evening, but still, thank you all the same, my sweet, sweet boy, for your tremendous thought and efforts. I have never felt so loved.(:

We have indeed come a long way, but here's to even many more months.

I love you Raoul.
